Scott has 20+ years of marketing experience including over a decade of experience in national television sales, branding, marketing and advertising for networks such as TBS/TNT Sports, CNN and Golf Channel. He also worked on several websites including cnn.com, nascar.com, and pga.com. He has implemented marketing plans for Fortune 500 companies throughout the United States including Ford, General Motors, Intel, Cisco Systems, Wendy's, Target, and Charles Schwab. He specialized in building cross-promotional sponsorships across a variety of mediums including television, web, print and on-site marketing. He also has experience in media relations, public relations, grassroots marketing, event planning and major gift fundraising.
Since founding Elevate in 2007, Scott has developed a reputation for building highly-effective political marketing campaigns for clients. While with Elevate, he has participated in creating some of the most talked-about television commercials, radio spots and direct-mailing campaigns in San Diego. He has also developed success in government relations and lobbying, working directly with a number of highly-visible clients.
Scott is a native San Diegan who graduated with distinction from San Diego State University while playing intercollegiate baseball. In 2011 and 2014, he and his family served as the Ambassador family for the San Diego – Imperial County Chapter of the March of Dimes. He currently serves on the California Advocacy and Government Relations Committee for the March of Dimes and on the San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation. He is a member of several other professional organizations.
Colin Rice has over a decade of experience in local and state government that includes effective leadership, communication and advocacy skills, campaign management, intergovernmental relations, public policy consultation, and strong training in law and ethics. Additionally, Rice has extensive experience in political and election law, candidate and non-profit fundraising, public speaking and effective management.
Prior to joining Elevate, Rice served for eight years as Chief-of- Staff to Assemblyman (and City Councilman) Juan Vargas where he managed district and legislative offices in San Diego and Sacramento. In this position, Rice was responsible for media relations, crisis communications, legislative negotiations, and political maneuvering.
As a founding partner of Elevate, Rice has worked on behalf of dozens of corporate, individual and political clients at local, state and federal levels of government. His relationships, experience and reputation are trusted and well-established in the industry.
Rice earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of San Diego in 1997, graduating cum laude, and was admitted to the California State Bar that same year. He served as Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Diego for two years. Rice received his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University in 1993 with a major in philosophy and a minor in political science.
In addition, Rice is a partner in a successful affordable housing company. He has served on numerous civic and non-profit boards in the San Diego community.
